Jaguar Negro Travel was founded by Jose Aguirre, a passionate advocate for tourism, hospitality, and Guatemalan culture. With years of experience guiding travelers from all over the world, Jose has worked in diverse environments such as international cruise lines, hotels, restaurants, and tourism companies, gaining a global perspective on service and customer care.

His career includes working aboard the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship, sailing through the Caribbean and serving guests from multiple nationalities, as well as organizing both local and international tours. He has collaborated in team training, emergency management, and creating memorable experiences for thousands of travelers.

6. Founder’s Profile

Jose Aguirre is originally from Guatemala and has dedicated his professional life to hospitality and tourism. His career includes academic and practical training in areas such as:

• Professional tourism and guiding in heritage destinations like Antigua Guatemala.
• Customer service in high-demand environments such as cruise lines and international tourism companies.
• Group management and safety training from institutions like INTECAP and the Guatemalan Volunteer Firefighters.
• Experience in health and first aid, including four years of medical studies at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala and courses in public health, social assistance, and basic pharmaceuticals.

His passion for travel and human connection led him to create Jaguar Negro Travel as a bridge to showcase the best of Guatemala through experiences that leave a lasting impression.
